A Belleville police officer had to be treated in hospital for minor injuries after being assaulted while making an arrest early Wednesday evening.
Just after 6 o’clock, police responded to Keegan Parkway regarding a woman causing a disturbance.
The woman became violent and hit an officer with a rock.
Karla Lyons, 21, of Belleville was charged with assaulting a police officer and has an October court date.
