Quinte West OPP, fire and EMS responded to a single vehicle accident early Sunday morning, close to 4 a.m., at the intersection of Highway 2 and Flindall Road.
The accident involved a single vehicle which rolled over and struck a telephone pole, knocking down power lines around the area. The power lines fell across the road, forcing emergency crews to hold traffic in the area.
At least one person was transported to hospital by ambulance. Their condition is unknown.
Utilities workers are also on scene to deal with the fallen power lines.
