A man wanted for assault and other charges was no match for Belleville police officers as he tried to run from them Wednesday afternoon.
Police spotted the man in a downtown business and when they approached he took off on foot.
Shortly after, 38-year-old Tyler Watson of Belleville was arrested and appears for bail Thursday.
Meanwhile Ottawa police arrested a Belleville woman wanted for assault, theft, and drug charges Wednesday.
Belleville police drove to Ottawa and brought 28-year-old Jillian Fisher back to face the charges in a bail hearing Thursday.
