One person has been arrested and charged in a theft investigation in Trenton.
Quinte West OPP responded to a business on North Murray Street around 8 a.m. on Tuesday.
They received a report of several items being purchased with a stolen credit card.
Through an investigation, police learned that the same person may have been involved in other thefts.
Images of the man were captured and police sought assistance from the public to identify the person of interest.
On Wednesday, an arrest was made.
Twenty-two-year-old Nicholas Deline of Belleville was charged with the following:
- Theft under $5000 – three counts
- Theft over $5000
- Unauthorized use of credit card
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville.
Police thanked members of the public who assisted in identifying the individual.
