The winning ticket has been drawn for the third of four Early Bird draws in the Belleville General Hospital’s Foundation Car4Cancer lottery.
E. Downey of Belleville was the $1,000 winner (ticket #5195).
But winning doesn’t end there: the ticket is returned to the drum and is eligible for the final Early Bird draw on August 22, as well as the grand prize of the 2023 Chevy Camaro Coupe.
Marketing Manager at Peter Smith GM Lorne Burt joined BGHF Executive Director Steve Cook to draw the winning ticket.
Cook said, “This has been our biggest selling draw so far as we approach 7,400 tickets, and every dollar raised goes back into improving cancer care across the entire Quinte Health catchment area at Dr. Douglas A. MacIntosh Cancer Clinic.
Burt said, “As a team at Peter Smith GM, we’re really proud of this initiative to raise awareness for cancer care in our community.”
The final draw for the Chevy Camaro coupe will take place on August 31.
