Help is on the way for people hit by a water service leak in Rossmore.
Prince Edward County’s Water and Wastewater Department will be undertaking repairs this week.
Repairs will begin on Wednesday and are expected to be completed by 6 p.m.
Fenwood Crescent will be closed to traffic in the construction area.
The repairs are not expected to impact water quality.
The following statement, in part, from Prince Edward County:
Fenwood Crescent will be closed to traffic in the construction area at the first entrance from County Road 28 as well as the eastern intersection of Taylor Drive. Motorists and residents are asked to redirect to the other entrances to Fenwood Crescent while construction is taking place.
Heavy equipment may limit visibility in the area and noise levels will be elevated for the duration of the repair.
These repairs are not expected to impact water quality; however, affected residents on Fenwood Crescent may experience an interruption to service, intermittent pressure fluctuations and coloured water while construction is taking place. The water remains safe to drink throughout the duration of construction. Taylor Drive is expected to remain unaffected.
If coloured water is experienced, customers are encouraged to flush their water lines at the cold water tap nearest to the water meter once work is complete.
