Two OPP vehicles were struck as police tried to stop a driver allegedly fleeing from police in Quinte West Monday evening.
An officer attempted a vehicle stop around 6 p.m. in the area of Whites Road but the driver fled.
Police were eventually able to box in the fleeing vehicle in a parking lot where the two OPP vehicles were struck.
The driver, 50-year-old Norman Henry of Quinte West, was arrested on charges of flight from police, dangerous operation of a motor vehicle and two counts of operation while prohibited.
The accused was held in custody pending a bail hearing.
