Belleville police arrested two men after merchandise from a store in the area
of Bell Boulevard and Millennium Parkway was stolen Sunday night, but not without having to do some sprinting.
Around 9:30, officers stopped a vehicle suspected to have been involved in the theft and discovered what was believed to be stolen merchandise.
While one man was arrested on scene, another took off on foot.
Police quickly caught up to him.
Arrested with the vehicle was 52-year-old Kevin Flood of Belleville.
Police did not identify the man who tried to run except to say he was 41 and also of Belleville.
