A Belleville man and energy company owner has been fined and put on probation after pleading guilty to making false GST/HST tax statements from the years 2014 to 2016.
Kelly Rumble pleaded guilty to the charges laid by the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) in a Belleville courtroom June 16.
The agency found that Rumble filed false GST/HST returns through a sole proprietorship and also filed false tax returns as the sole shareholder of Rumble Energy Inc.
He was fined $102,090. and put on probation for one year.
