Management with Quinte Health are glad they’re getting support from local municipalities and medical organizations in the recruitment of doctors and other healthcare professionals.
The latest statistics from Quinte Health hospitals show that 25% of the people coming to already crowded emergency departments don’t have a family doctor or nurse practitioner.
Chief Nursing Executive Lina Rinaldi says the organization is ready to help community partners in any way it can.
” … and we are there to support any local solution and provide a data information partner, and it’s primarily to support the unattached patient population, to support patients who don’t have access to primary care.”
CEO of Quinte Health Stacy Daub told the Board of Directors Tuesday that the area was in a “perfect storm” dealing with a shortage of physicians at the same time as an increasing and aging population was causing an increased demand on the healthcare system.
