Belleville council will be asked to approve a contract for continuing upgrades at Hillcrest Park Monday.
City staff is recommending the lowest of four tenders be accepted from Jeffrey G. Wallans Construction of Brighton for the building of eight pickleball courts in the park.
Wallans’s bid was a little over $753,000 including HST.
The pickleball courts are part of Phase 2 of the Hillcrest Park’s redevelopment. Other improvements in Phase 2 include two small basketball courts, a skate dot, trails and trail and sport lighting.
Council meets at 4 o’clock Monday afternoon at City Hall.
