On June 21 2023, just before midnight, an officer on general patrol observed a vehicle stopped at a green light at the intersection of College Street and Sidney Street in Belleville.
The officer approached the vehicle and observed both the driver and passenger asleep in the vehicle.
After waking the driver, the officer continued his investigation and believed the driver was impaired by drugs.
The driver was arrested and transported to the Belleville Police Service.
Further investigation revealed that the driver was also prohibited from driving a motor vehicle.
As a result, Michael Boulter, 37 years old of Belleville, was charged with operation while impaired by drugs and driving while prohibited.
He was released on an undertaking with a July court date.
