A 42-year-old man has been held for a bail hearing following an assault at a Belleville business.
Police responded to an assault call at a North Front Street business Sunday afternoon around 1:45 p.m. where the victim reported that an unknown male had thrown a drink on him during a verbal dispute.
The victim followed the suspect to another business where the suspect proceeded to physically assault the victim causing minor injuries.
Responding officers located and arrested the suspect.
Further investigation revealed the suspect was on probation as well.
A 42-year-old Belleville resident is charged with assault and three counts of breaching his probation.
