A 31-year-old Belleville resident is facing charges following a landlord-tenant dispute in the city.
Police were called around 5:00 p.m. Wednesday to an east end home.
Police learned that following a disagreement between the two parties, the landlord was assaulted, and fell down a flight of stairs.
Aurele John has been charged with assault, while the victim was treated for injuries.
