Local residents gathered on Saturday outside the office of MPP Todd Smith to protest.
The protest, hosted by Josh DeLarge of the Bay of Quinte NDP, was part of the Enough is Enough day of action protests across Ontario.
The group picketed outside the office, demanding action on a number of key points.
Among the group’s demands, were keeping schools and hospitals public and a general demand for action to keep the cost of living down, citing rising costs of food, gas and housing.
