UPDATE: The leak has been fixed and the road is now reopened.
A leak at an Enbridge natural gas transfer station on Glen Miller Road provoked road closures and a small scale evacuation in Quinte West.
Quinte West Fire is on scene, and has closed Glen Miller Road from Drumlin Road to Johnstown Road, while evacuating the nearest houses as a precaution while workers from Enbridge work to remedy the leak.
There is currently no timeline for when the road will be reopened and residents will be allowed to return.
Nobody has been reported sick or injured from the leak.
