Trespassing / Breach of probation
On May 24, 2023, at 12:40 p.m., Belleville police responded to a call regarding a female causing a disturbance at a Front Street business. Upon arrival, a 35-year-old female of Belleville was arrested for trespassing and later released without charges. Police received another call regarding the same female causing a disturbance at an east end business at 2:45 p.m. The female was then arrested for failing to comply with a condition of her probation. She was held for a bail hearing on May 25, 2023.
Assault
On May 24, 2023 at 4:30 p.m., Belleville police responded to a call regarding a male who had attacked someone with a stick at a west end address. The male had left prior to police arrival however he was located a short time later in the east end of Belleville. Justin Eberhardt, 30, of Belleville was arrested and charged with assault with a weapon. He was later released with a June court date.
Warrants
On May 24, 2023 at 4:25 p.m., Belleville police responded to a disturbance at an east end restaurant. It was reported that a male was causing a mess inside and refusing to leave. Upon arrival, police identified the male as 45-year-old Jason Nicholson of Belleville. Nicholson was found to have warrants for failing to appear for fingerprints and failing to comply with a release order. He was arrested and later released with a June court date.
