Quinte West OPP have charged a woman with fraud.
On the afternoon of May 9, officers investigated a report of fraud in Carrying Place. First and last month’s rent had been paid to a person claiming to own a property, but when the tenant arrived to move in, they were turned away.
After an investigation, 36-year-old Heather Todd of Quinte West was charged with fraud under $5000, obtaining under false pretense under $5000, and using forged documents.
The accused was released and is scheduled to appear in court on July 6.
