Hospice Quinte has announced the results of the first year of their Comfort of Home fundraising campaign.
During its first year, the campaign managed to raise $835,000.
“It has been a very rewarding experience to chair this critically important fundraising campaign in its first year,” says Marty Halloran, Hospice Quinte volunteer and chair of the 2022-2023 Comfort of Home Campaign Committee. “I am in awe of the generosity and genuine care for our community that Hospice Quinte’s donors have demonstrated.”
The campaign is now launching its second year, with a 2023-2024 fundraising target of $1,000,000. This will go towards Hospice Quinte’s operating budget of $2.2 million.
Hospice Quinte currently provides end-of-life care for over 110,000 people in Quinte West, Belleville, Deseronto, Tyendinaga Township and the Tyendinaga Mohawk Territory at no charge to the recipient or their family.
