Charges were laid after a neighbour dispute turned physical in Quinte West.
OPP were called to a March Street home around 11 a.m. on Monday to deal with a disagreement between two neighbours.
One person was arrested.
Thirty-one-year-old Joshua Nelson from Quinte West is charged with assault and assault with a weapon.
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear in court on June 15.
