Belleville police responded to 102 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on May 15, 2023 to 5 a.m. on May 16, 2023.
Motor Vehicle Collison
On May 15, 2023 at 11:03 a.m., police responded to a two-vehicle collision on Bell Blvd. at Jack Ellis Way. No injuries were reported, however, one of the vehicles had to be towed from the scene. Police spoke to the drivers involved and the investigation into the collision is continuing. Arrested on Warrant
On May 11 2023, a warrant for failing to comply with a release order was issued for a 53-year-old man who had failed to report to the Bail Supervision Program in Belleville as ordered by the courts as part of his release conditions. On May 15, 2023, he was stopped by Quinte West OPP in a traffic stop and arrested on the strength of the warrant. The male was subsequently turned over to the Belleville Police Service. He was held for a bail hearing scheduled for May 16, 2023.
