Hastings County has named its next Chief Administrative Officer.
Connor Dorey has been named to the role, replacing longtime CAO Jim Pine who is retiring at the end of June.
“On behalf of the members of County Council I want to congratulate and welcome Connor to his new role of Chief Administrative Officer. Council is very pleased to make this announcement and is looking forward to a long and productive relationship with Connor,” said Warden Bob Mullin.
Dorey is currently the county’s Director of Community and Human Services, a position he took over last fall after holding various roles with the County of Lennox & Addington.
“Since joining the county I have been very impressed by the commitment and dedication of County Council, Warden Mullin and staff, to our mission of supporting people and communities across the county. I am looking forward to working with County Council and the entire staff team in my new role as we support the county’s vision and continue our important work,” said Dorey.
There were more than 120 applications for the CAO position.
Dorey’s appointment is effective July 1.
