The 16th Annual Invisible Ribbon Gala hosted by the Trenton Military Family Resource Centre (MFRC) featured an exciting announcement.
Lorraine O’Quinn of The O’Quinn Team Real Estate from Royal LePage unveiled “Homefront Heroes,” a $2,000 scholarship for local
military-connected youth.
The scholarship is open to children of an active CAF member, CAF Veteran, or a CAF
Reservist.
Applicants must be graduating this year from a high school located within Hastings, Prince Edward or Northumberland Counties and be attending as a first-year student at an accredited post-secondary institution, including youth participating in apprenticeship programs for the fall of 2023.
The successful scholarship recipient is someone who demonstrates the philosophy Be Kind, Be Bold, Be Brave!
No essays are required. However, applicants must submit a three- to five-minute video that demonstrates how they embody the philosophy of Be Kind,
Be Bold, Be Brave!
The Trenton MFRC and the O’Quinn Team have been working hard behind the scenes to make this scholarship come to fruition.
Both organizations are proud of this initiative and are excited to give this opportunity to local military-connected youth.
