The deal hasn’t been signed off on yet but Prince Edward County council intends to sell close to an acre of land in Picton to Habitat for Humanity Prince Edward-Hastings.
In a press release Friday the county says the property is on Bowery Street and part of Delhi Park.
The sale price will be $31,362.
The release goes on to say Habitat would build affordable housing on the land which could allow a number of local families to own their own homes.
Further detail is expected after the sale is finalized.
