Ideas for your next indoor or outdoor project this weekend at the Bay of Quinte Home Show

The Bay of Quinte Home Show starts Friday at the Duncan McDonald Memorial Community Gardens in Trenton.

Quinte West Chamber of Commerce Events Coordinator Morgan Scott says after a smaller affair last year, the show is back to occupying two full ice pads.

“We have over 90 vendors exhibiting in our show this weekend covering everything from gardens and landscape design, as well as general contractors, pools and hot tubs and much more.”

Chef Jamie and the Barbacoa Boyz will be serving Caribbean, Mexican and Canadian foods from their food truck outside the arena.

“We’ll have kids’ activities throughout the arena with Trenton Horticultural Society doing a DIY fairy garden. Gift From the Heart will be handing out toothpaste for children and the Trenton Kiwanis will have a colouring contest at the Kids’ Zone.”

Scott says the show is great for exhibitors as it provides them with business throughout the year and gives visitors a chance to learn about the businesses available in this area and the latest home and garden trends.

The show runs Friday evening from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday 10 a.m. to 3 p.m.

Admission is $3.

Kids are free.
