Local environmental-based community groups of Prince Edward County will be showcased at an upcoming volunteer open house.
The April 27 event will get underway with Earth Week Talks about the “Beauty of Compost” presented by Lise Bois and Robin Reilly, as well as “Wetlands and Wildlife,” presented by the West Lake Community Association.
Groups and volunteers will then be on hand to talk about the work they have undertaken and highlight the upcoming projects they are involved in.
They will be welcoming new volunteers.

The open house will occur at Highline Hall inside the Wellington and District Community Centre (111 Belleville Street) from 4 – 7 p.m.
The County Foundation will provide refreshments.
