The Trenton Branch of the Quinte West Public Library will be closing in the near future for renovations.
The library will be closed from May 29 to June 24 for upgrades including new carpet, paint, height-adjustable service desks, lounge furniture and bistro tables and chairs.
The children’s area will be refurbished thanks to a $75,000 donation from the Parrott Foundation.
The rest of the project is being funded by the library’s reserve fund.
Due dates will automatically be extended and customers are encouraged to take out as much material as wanted.
The limit on a library card is usually 75 items but this can be increased if requested.
The library’s digital resources will continue to be available, providing access to electronic books, periodicals, movies, newspapers and magazines as well as video-based learning opportunities through LinkedIn Learning and Creative Bug.
The Frankford branch will remain open with the following hours:
-
Monday to Thursday, 9:30 a.m. to 7 p.m.
-
Friday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.
-
Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The Trenton branch will resume normal operating hours on June 26.
