It was another hot one Sunday but the high temperature was just a fraction of a degree short of another record.
According to readings taken at CFB Trenton the mercury climbed to 25.8 degrees at 5 o’clock Sunday afternoon.
However the record for an April 16 in the Quinte region is 26.4 degrees, set in 2002.
Sunday marked the end of a nice heat wave with temperatures now returning to more seasonal levels.
