The Port Hope Panthers jumped on a rusty Napanee Raiders squad for a 3-0 lead which carried them to a 3-1 win in Game 1 of their Junior C Tod Division semi final.
Clayton Farrow led the Panthers to their fifth straight post season win with a goal and assist.
Marshall McFarland scored the lone goal for Napanee.
The Raiders finished 24 points ahead of Port Hope in the regular season.
It was their first game since March 4. Napanee won’t have to wait long to play their second. Game 2 is tonight (Wed) at 8:30 in Port Hope.
The other semi final series opens tonight (Wed) with the Picton Pirates at Amherstview.
The Jets finished in second place during the regular season, five points ahead of Picton.
Game 2 is at the Prince Edward Community Centre Thursday night.
