The emergency department at Campbellford Memorial Hospital is closing for Christmas.
Due to staffing shortages, the emergency department will be closed between 6 a.m. and 7:30 p.m. on December 25.
Ambulance services will instead take patients to the nearest area hospital with an open emergency department.
Patients requiring emergency care during the closure are advised to call 911, or go to another area hospital such as Belleville General Hospital or Trenton Memorial Hospital for assistance.
