The Belleville Beast Swim Team hosted more than over 450 athletes including 89 from their own club at the Quinte Sports and Wellness Centre last weekend.
Teams from Amherstview, Port Hope, Stittsville, Perth, Milton, Ottawa, Picton, Carleton Place and Nepean attended the competition.
Nine members of the Beast Swim Team earned gold medals.
They include Francis Brennan, Ava Case, Owen Googe, Emily Hudacin, Myles Jackson, Alivia King, Hallie Lupton, Rayan Mecky and Austin Williams.
Other BEAST swimmers who earned medals were: Taneesha Asher, Alyssa Barnes, Claire Bolton, Lizzie Burnett, Caelen Calder, Logan Hicks, Alexandra MacDonald, Nate Mack, Brendan MacQuarrie, Lauren MacQuarrie, Karissa Manlow, Ben McIlvaney, Caden Mecky, Lauren Redden, Morgan Slater, Abbi Solomon, Maisie Walsh and Ethan Williams,
Francis Brennan broke five 13-14 male team records; 50m freestyle at 24.37, 100m freestyle at 52.99, 200m freestyle at 1:57.01, 400m freestyle at 4:11.12 and 100m backstroke at 58.69. Alivia King set a new 11-12 female team record in the 50m butterfly at 33.35. Emily Hudacin cracked the 11-12 female 100m breaststroke team record at 1:24.23.

The Beast have 29 swimmers heading to the Gatineau Grand Prix next weekend (December 9-11) and another 24 in Pickering for the Lisa Flood Classic on December 10-11.
