The Cobourg Cougars slipped past the Trenton Golden Hawks 4 to 3 on Friday night.

The Golden Hawks took an early lead off Jordan Fuller’s unanswered first period goal, however the Cougars came back in the second period with two power play goals. The Golden Hawks claimed a second goal on a power play of their own, leaving the score tied 2-2 going into the third period. During the penalty-filled third period, the Cougars claimed two more power play goals to secure the win, despite the Golden Hawks claiming their third goal.
Meanwhile the Wellington Dukes dismantled the North York Rangers 8 to 1.
Several players scored for the Dukes, including Will Mitchell, Edward Moskowitz, Jared Langdon, Ryan Smith, Matheson Mason, and Barrett Joynt with a hat trick.
The Dukes scored twice in the first period without allowing the Rangers to get any goals, and kept up their relentless offence as the game went on, scoring twice more unanswered over the second period. While the Rangers finally got on the board in the third period, the Dukes claimed four more goals and left the Rangers in the dust. The Dukes took over twice as many shots on net as the Rangers over the course of the game, 49 shots to 22.
