Two local girls high school basketball teams have swept their way into the Ontario Championships this week.
The AA Centennial Chargers blew out Crestwood High School in Peterborough 62-26 and now go to Stratford for OFSSA where they are ranked second in the province.
The Chargers’ first game is tomorrow (Thursday) against 12th ranked Thomas Blakelock High School from Oakville.
The Nicholson Crusaders thumped Norwood 61-15 in the COSSA A championship game. Nicholson moves on to Walkerton where they are also seeded second at that level in Ontario. The Crusaders’ first game is tomorrow (Thursday) against 12th seed Lageunesse of Windsor.
