It must have seemed like deja vu for the Belleville Senators – another overtime loss to the Rochester Americans.
Anders Bjork scored at 3:29 of overtime to give the Amerks a 4-3 win over the visiting B-Sens.
It was last spring that Rochester scored a pair of overtime wins in a best of three Calder Cup playoff series that eliminated Belleville from the playoffs.
Angus Cruikshank, Viktor Lodin and Roarke Chartier scored for the B-Sens who take their first loss of the young AHL season, but still get a point.
Head Coach Troy Mann says, “There were a lot of positives from tonight‘s game, there’s no doubt about it, but certainly we would have liked to leave here with two points.”
Belleville will host the Springfield Thunderbirds tomorrow (Friday) and Saturday at the CAA Arena.
