Schools in east end Belleville were briefly placed in secure and hold while Belleville police were investigating in the area.
Belleville police say they received a call about a man with a gun in the area. After investigating, they stopped a 16-year-old, who handed over a pellet gun to police and was taken to his residence.
Harry J Clarke, St. Joseph’s and Eastside Secondary Schools went into secure and hold. The order was lifted at 3 p.m.
