The new Belleville Fire and Emergency Services Fallen Firefighters Memorial Garden will be unveiled this weekend during the annual 9/11 Remembrance Ceremony.
The public is invited to the ceremony, beginning at 8:30 Sunday morning at Fire Station #1 on Bettes Street, in remembrance of the World Trade Center terrorist attacks.
There will be remarks from Mayor Mitch Panciuk, Fire Chief Monique Belair and others including Captain John Lake, son of fallen member Captain William Lake.
Chief Belair says the Memorial Garden will act as a reminder of all those who laid down their lives.
Seating for the ceremony will be available for those not taking part in the procession.
Attendees are asked to park on the side streets around the fire hall and at the VIA Rail Station.
There will be no parking in the lot on the north side of the fire hall.
