Belleville police responded to 68 calls for service over a 24-hour periodfrom 5 a.m. on August 30, 2022 to 5 a.m. on August 31, 2022.
Warrant arrests
On August 30, 2022 at approximately 12:30 p.m., Belleville police on downtown patrol located a female party currently wanted by the Belleville Police Service for two counts of failing to appear in court and failing to comply with a probation order. As a result, 39-year-old-Ashley Wellbanks of Belleville was taken into custody and held for a show cause hearing on August 31, 2022.
On August 30, 2022 at approximately 1 p.m., Belleville police were called to a downtown establishment for a disruptive male party refusing to leave. Upon arriving, police identified the male as 31-year-old Dillon Kerr of Belleville who was currently wanted by the Belleville Police Service for failing to attend court. As a result, he was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on the August 31, 2022.
