A Quebec man is facing a long list of charges after a police chase on Hwy 401.
Lennox and Addington OPP say they recieved complaints about a vehicle moving east on the 401 early Friday morning.
After locating the vehicle and attempting to stop it, the driver collided with a police car before driving into the median ditch.
The driver attempted to flee on foot but was caught. Nobody was injured. The car was confirmed to have been stolen shortly after catching him.
Jeffery Dumas, 31 years old, of Lachine, Quebec was charged with:
- Dangerous operation
- Operation while impaired – drugs
- Flight from peace officer
- Resist peace officer
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000
- Failure to stop after accident
- Fail to comply with probation order
- Fail to remain(a)
- Drive motor vehicle – no licence
He is being held in custody pending a bail hearing.
