Belleville police responded to 80 calls for service over a 24-hour period from 5 a.m. on July 20, 2022 to 5 a.m. on July 21, 2022.
Warrants
On July 20, 2022 at 2 p.m., Belleville Emergency Medical Services and Belleville police interacted with a female in the city’s east end. After the female was identified, it was found that she was wanted on two Belleville Police Service warrants for fail to comply with a release order and rail to reattend court. As a result, 43-year-old Belleville resident Louise Hall was arrested and held for a show cause hearing on July 21, 2022.
Break and Enter
On July 20, 202, at 11:37 a.m., Belleville police took a report of a break and enter to a business in the area of Baybridge Road. The incident occurred between July 19 and July 20, 2022. Domestic Assault and Fail to comply
On July 20, 2022, at 9:30 p.m., Belleville police were called to a residence on Union Street regarding a complaint of a female being assaulted by her ex-husband. Police attended and investigation revealed that the male suspect was currently on conditions not to have communication with the female victim and that he was not to be at that location. As a result, the 40-year-old Belleville male was arrested for two counts of fail to comply with undertaking and domestic assault. He was transported to the Belleville Police Service where he was later released with a court date of the of August 22, 2022. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
