What a week to remember for a young Belleville golfer!
Russell Aide, who plays out of Black Bear Ridge Golf Club, is competing in the Junior Open this week in Monifieth, Scotland.
The 15-year-old was tied for 88th after two rounds and did not make the cut for the final round.
Still, it is an experience he will never forget.
In addition to playing the Junior Open, he’ll get to attend The British Open this weekend on the Old Course at St. Andrews and see the likes of Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy and his favourite golfer, Jordan Spieth, compete for golf’s oldest prize.
The Junior Open is closely linked to The Open and is always played on a nearby course in the same week in July.
