Domestic Assault
On June 24, 2022, at 9:23 p.m., Belleville police were called to the east end of Belleville for the report of a physical altercation between two parties. As a result of an investigation into the altercation, a 24-year-old Belleville woman was arrested and charged with domestic assault. The woman was later released with a court date in August. The name of the accused is not being released to protect the identity of the victim.
Attempted Robbery
On June 24, 2022, at 6:26 p.m., Belleville police were called to the area of Front and Dundas streets for a report that a male had been attacked while riding his scooter. An unknown assailant had attempted to knock the male off the scooter and steal it. The victim received minor injuries. Robbery
On June 25, 2022, at 1:20 a.m., Belleville police were called to the rear of a restaurant on North Front Street for a male who reported that he had been pepper-sprayed and robbed. An unknown suspect had sprayed the male and fled with his cash. The victim was transported to the hospital by paramedics. Minor injuries were reported.
