Belleville police are again warning people to beware of people calling them identifying themselves as a lawyer and demanding thousands of dollars for bail because a relative, often a grandson, has landed in jail.
City police have received four complaints regarding these scams in the past few days alone.
Belleville police urge people to question anyone demanding money or personal information and if someone claims to be from a police service, call the police service itself to confirm the situation.
