The 2022-23 Algonquin and Lakeshore Catholic District School Board budget has been approved.
Trustees have approved an operating budget of $177,293,497 and a capital budget of $34,402,323.
Board Chair Tom Dall says the budget will provide staff and students with access to functional and inclusive learning environments.
Though there is a slight decline in board-wide enrolment – less than one per cent – Director of Education David DeSantis says much of that is related to elementary school numbers and first year kindergarten.
He expects those numbers to correct themselves as families continue to register over the coming months.
