Premier Doug Ford has unveiled his new and expanded cabinet at a ceremony at Queen’s Park today.
The cabinet announced this morning has many ministers in the same portfolios they held during Ford’s last government.
Bay of Quinte MPP Todd Smith returns to the role of Minister of Energy, and Northumberland Peterborough South MPP David Piccini returns to the role of Minister of the Environment, Conservation and Parks.
Sylvia Jones has been named as Ontario’s new deputy premier and health minister, one of the key changes in Doug Ford’s new 30-person cabinet.
Stephen Lecce remains in education, Peter Bethlenfalvy is Minister of Finance, and Caroline Mulroney is transportation minister again.
Steve Clark remains as Municipal Affairs and Housing Minister, Monte McNaughton remains in labour and Doug Downey will be attorney general again.
Still, there are some new faces in cabinet, including Ford’s nephew Michael Ford, who is named Minister of Citizenship and Multiculturalism.
