Two people face charges after fighting with Belleville police officers at an east end intersection Monday night.
Police responded to calls about a disturbance at 8:15 and learned that two men had been fighting and a tire iron was involved.
There were just minor injuries to both combatants and a vehicle was damaged.
A man resisted arrest and at the same time a woman got involved and police say she assaulted an officer and then resisted an attempt to arrest her.
A 59-year-old man of no fixed address was charged with assault, mischief under $5,000 and resisting a peace officer.
A 53-year-old Belleville woman was charged with assaulting a peace officer and resisting arrest.
Both have late July court dates.
