Almost half of Hastings County resident polled are unhappy with access to heath care.
Prince Edward County Health Care Services Working group conducted the survey, resulting in 2,400 responses, 827 from Hastings County.
Forty-eight per cent of respondents in Hastings County were either dissatisfied, or very dissatisfied, with access to health care.
The survey results were presented to the Hastings County Finance, Property and Personnel committee on Tuesday by Hastings County’s communications and project coordinator, John Nicholas.
Nicholas indicated that the survey might not be representative of the entire population.
The response in Prince Edward County nearly doubled that of Hastings County.
Nicholas said that may be due to its smaller size.
Forty-eight per cent of respondents in Hastings County were either dissatisfied or very dissatisfied with access to health care. Thirty-five per cent were satisfied or very satisfied.
