On Saturday June 18, 2022 just after 3:00 p.m. officers responded to a collision where an ATV struck an individual on James Street in Sophiasburgh Ward. One individual was transported to hospital with minor injuries.
Officers spoke with a driver of the ATV and an approved screening device was administered. The driver was arrested and taken to detachment for further testing. Bradley MILLER, age 38 from Prince Edward County was charged with the following criminal offences:
- Operation while impaired- alcohol – CC 320.14(1)(a)
- Operation while impaired- blood alcohol concentration- 80 plus – 320.14(1)(b)
The accused was released from custody and is scheduled to appear at the Ontario Court of Justice in Picton on July 27, 2022. The driver had their licence suspended for 90 days and their ATV was impounded for seven days.
