Some drivers on Highway 401 westbound at Trenton early Friday morning saw something they’ll likely never see again.
Two horses were galloping down the highway shortly before 6 o’clock.
Some vehicles had to swerve to avoid them and OPP had to block traffic for a short time while a transport cut them off and officers managed to control the animals using the rescue rope always available in their cruisers.
The horses were escorted to the nearby Enroute and their owner picked them up before 9 o’clock.
There were no injuries.
