Two people are facing charges following a drug trafficking investigation in Quinte West.
Early Monday afternoon, the Quinte West OPP Community Street Crime Unit, assisted by patrol officers, conducted a traffic stop at the eastbound 401 Enroute.
Police seized cocaine with a street value of $7,500, cell phones and cash.
The two occupants, Bright Ofori, 27 years old from Toronto and Raphael Salami, 25 years old from Woodbridge were arrested and charged with possession for the purpose of trafficking.
Salami was also charged with possession of proceeds of property obtained by crime under $5,000.
Both accused were held in custody and were scheduled to appear for bail at the Ontario Court of Justice in Belleville on June 14, 2022.
