A woman faces weapons and assault police charges after a disturbance in Belleville Thursday night.
A group of people were arguing in the south-central part of the city around 11 p.m. and a possible firearm was observed.
Police arrived on scene and arrested a 33-year-old Belleville female for pointing a firearm, careless use of a firearm, possession of a weapon for a dangerous purpose and causing a disturbance.
After the initial arrest, the female allegedly assaulted police and was further charged with two counts of assault police.
She was held for a show cause hearing on Friday.
